Our philosophy is reflected in the work
of Anne Sullivan, after whom the school is named. Anne Sullivan was the
teacher of Helen Keller, a deaf-blind child whose disability completely
isolated her from the rest of the world.
Miss Sullivan found a way to communicate
with Helen Keller and educate her in an integral way, helping her develop
courage, strength and discipline, as well as bringing her great knowledge.
Helen Keller overcame her disability to become not only a very
well-educated person, but also one who, through her great love, gave hope
and inspiration to disabled and healthy people alike. |
