The preschool program offers the children
activities and materials based in the physical, natural and social
sciences, as well as the fine arts. Whatever the theme of the month--and
this reflects both the teachers planning and the current interests of the
children--its content is reflected in all aspects of human endeavor. The
major modes of exploration are observation, manipulation, experimentation,
didactic games, dramatic play, movement, music, artistic creation and
literature. The curriculum is uniquely adapted to each year's class.

If a topic especially arouses the children's interest,
it will be explored in greater depth. The interior environment is designed
to facilitate the above modes of exploration with a variety of learning
centers, including the multi-sensory discovery-science table, computers,
reading corner, art center, manipulative area, construction and dramatic
play areas with props, puppets and costumes. The teachers encourage play
and choices throughout the day and provide a balance between teacher
guided and child initiated activities both indoors and
