I spent weeks upon weeks researching local preschools for our little one, and then I found Anne Sullivan. I had called inquiring about their rates (the first thing I asked every school), and they strongly urged me to come in for a tour and check out the school in person. Well, from the moment I pulled up I just knew that this was it! Even in the parking lot you get a warm & welcoming vibe, which was extremely comforting to me as I had been to several schools that I was unsure about! My daughter, who is extremely shy, was even excited to walk the grounds. Ms Diana welcomed us, and Ms Margarita gave us the tour. Both of these wonderful ladies made it clear that their students are top priority and parents are treated with the utmost respect and patience.
Now for the school itself, I can't say enough good things about how beautiful the grounds are. It's acres of nature accompanied by very well set up play yards, gardens, and tons of space for kids to ride bikes and be a kid! We happened to be touring while school was in session, and my shy LO dove right in and began to play with a group of other children, which I couldn't believe! Obviously she felt just as comfortable as I which made our selection that much easier.
Let's fast forward a little to my daughters second year at Anne Sullivan. She is now miss social butterfly, learning to spell like a champ, and has a love for lizards, tree houses, and gardening! Not to mention she knows more 'fun facts' on just about anything than me! Every month the classrooms focus their learning on a new topic which gets the kids excited and parents involved too. My daughter is excited to go to school, and even more excited to learn here.
Anne Sullivan has a unique teaching method, they teach their students through love and play. Children, no matter the age, all THRIVE on these two things. I'm watching my child grow both emotionally and mentally-at such a fast rate. Anne Sullivan creates a safe and fun environment for kids, and are hands down the best. They treat all students as equal, while addressing individual needs in a sensitive and graceful manner. I have full trust in this school, and know that my daughter is in the best hands possible.
On a side note, we have baby #2 on the way, and I already can't wait for him to attend this school :)
